I'm off for the summer. Sure I have some work to do here and there - but that will keep me sane. This has already been an amazing summer....and it is only going to get more amazing. I've re-met up with a surprisingly varied cross section of old friends from high school, college, and even old jobs, and we've been hanging out and enjoying the varied nightlife of Syracuse and all the wonderful summer-fests (Brewfest on July 11th. One of the best in the Northeast. If you're up this way, stop by!!). It's amazing how people change for the better (for the most part) as they get older. Half of the change is in myself too, I gather.

My friend just bought a boat, so we've been spending ample amounts of time out on the water, enjoying the day, and of course fishing, which is my forte. Now I have someone to tool around with on my jetski, which has been out a surprising number of times this year. I've found that when one is good with finances, and does not maintain debt (I literally have about a thousand dollars in debt right now - all from student loans) you can still afford to enjoy things that use gas.

As many of you know I will be going to Peru in August. Between now and then, I have some camping trips planned up to ADK with friends who are flying from around the country to go to. Should be fun. One of the most important parts of this summer is training because the Inca trail is a 3 day 30 mile hike that is for the most part above 13,000 feet in elevation. I've dropped a few pounds to get myself in good shape and I've been hitting the stair master and mountain biking like an animal. I just had all my shots yesterday (Yellow Fever, Thyphoid, Hep A) to get ready.

And that's about it. I don't normally blog about my doings, but I just felt like it all hopped up on caffeine with nothing to do today but whatever I want.
