It is through creating, not possessing, that life is revealed.

For all of you who have ever had appendix surgery, you may be with me on this one.

You know what's the worst thing about having your appendix out is attempting to take a shit the next day. My Mom (bless her heart), in all her nurse-wisdom is like "Just press your hand over you incision when you're trying to go. It will help with the pain!"

Nothing helps with the pain. First, simple pressing on the incision, after they've screwed around with my sensitive bowels is pain enough. Then the actual process of shitting makes it feel like you're passing your heart or liver, or something equally unpleasant.

The first few days of pooping was an entire comical process, one that could be on an R-rated verison of America's Most Terrible Video's.  Of course, it wasn't comical to me, looking in the toliet to make sure that parts of my bowels were indeed not hanging out my hind areas.

So, those of you who had appendix surgery, or will have it one day, this is what you get to look forward to.
